Position Title: SAP Master Data Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Master Data Specialist to maintain and manage critical master data within SAP systems, ensuring accurate business transactions and smooth operations across multiple departments and locations globally. This role involves collaboration with various business functions, including Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Research & Technology, Manufacturing, and more.

The position requires coordination with different teams and locations, including countries such as Brazil, France, China, and the United States. The individual will be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining accurate SAP Master Data, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards, and addressing any discrepancies that may arise in the system.

The role demands a thorough understanding of the business model, SAP operations, and master data relationships, with a particular focus on manufacturing data. This will be critical in preventing errors and ensuring that business requirements are met without delay or negative impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Create, update, and delete SAP Master Data according to customer requirements.

Research, analyze, and correct data inconsistencies; write and run reports to expose and resolve data quality issues.

Ensure SOX compliance and manage documentation for regulatory adherence.

Assist in defining policies and procedures for SAP master data, ensuring that all elements are consistent and meet data content standards.

Coordinate and resolve SAP interface errors, understanding the value mapping between SAP and Legacy Systems.

Define role-based security, business rules, and data interdependencies for SAP item setup.

Evaluate business processes, identifying areas for improvement and minimizing manual inputs and maintenance efforts.

Collaborate with Sustainability Network Communities to support MDO operations and promote knowledge sharing across teams.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or a related field.

1-5 years of experience in Master Data Management, Business Analysis, or Information Systems.

Knowledge of IT ERP solutions (SAP ECC, BW). Familiarity with Ariba is a plus.

Experience in Data Quality Management (building reports, identifying and resolving issues).

Strong communication skills across various organizational levels, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.

A good understanding of the end-to-end business model and master data design in ERP systems, specifically in SAP.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
