Position Title: Data Analyst / Data Governance Specialist

Design and Methodology Responsibilities

Engage with cross-functional teams to gather and clarify data analysis requirements.

Perform data discovery, profiling, and usage analysis across disparate source systems.

Define and maintain business glossaries, data policies, standard terms, and ensure standardized definitions across domains.

Monitor data quality trends and assist in establishing rules for data validation to meet business and technical requirements.

Work with ETL development teams to accelerate implementation processes and ensure effective integration.

Assist data architects and engineers in designing scalable data models for ingestion and extraction in data lakes/lakehouses for reporting, analytics, and data science.

Define, implement, and test solutions related to data quality, cataloging, and lineage as part of the ETL workflow.

Ensure adoption of best practices in data integrity, design, analysis, validation, and documentation.

Participate in Agile sprint planning and support project delivery timelines.

Design and enforce data security protocols to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access or misuse.

Provide timely and accurate reporting to management regarding progress and issues.

Contribute to Data Governance efforts, documentation, and the sharing of data asset knowledge.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technology field, OR equivalent combination of education and professional experience

12+ years of total technology experience

5+ years of hands-on experience in:

Data analysis, profiling, cleansing, standardization, modeling, and transformation

Metadata management, business glossaries, and policy/term definition

SQL development with a focus on performance tuning and troubleshooting

6+ years of experience with Informatica IDQ, data profiling, and modeling tools

Experience with SQL & NoSQL databases and AWS cloud technologies

3+ years of experience with enterprise data warehouse solutions

Demonstrated ability to build strong collaborative relationships with data and business stakeholders

Preferred Certifications

✅ Informatica Cloud DQ Certification

✅ AWS Certified Data Analytics or AWS Solutions Architect
