Job Title: Data Analyst – Data Governance & ETL Support

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Analyst to support enterprise data governance, analysis, and ETL process initiatives. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, defining data standards, supporting ETL teams, and contributing to the implementation of secure, high-quality data solutions across data lakes, lakehouses, and enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

Engage with cross-functional teams to understand and document data analysis and reporting requirements.

Analyze data usage and mapping needs from diverse and disparate source systems.

Data Governance & Standardization

Define and maintain business glossaries, metadata, data policies, and standardized definitions across business domains.

Monitor and analyze data quality trends; perform data profiling and discovery.

ETL & Data Architecture Support

Collaborate with data architects and engineers to create scalable data models for large-volume ETL processes.

Assist in accelerating ETL development efforts by providing clear data mapping and transformation rules.

Ensure data quality, cataloging, and lineage requirements are reviewed, implemented, and tested during ETL processes.

Best Practices & Compliance

Support adoption of best practices in data integrity, validation, testing, and documentation.

Design and implement data security measures to protect sensitive information.

Contribute to data governance initiatives and maintain accurate system and process documentation.

Project & Sprint Participation

Participate in agile sprint planning meetings as needed.

Provide timely updates to management on progress, issues, and deliverables.

Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and/or 12+ years of relevant technology experience.

Minimum of 5 years experience in:

Data analysis, cleansing, standardization, profiling, modeling, mapping, transformation, lineage, and cataloging.

SQL coding, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Metadata management and maintaining business glossaries and standardized definitions.

6 years experience with Informatica IDQ, profiling, and data modeling tools.

5 years working with both SQL and NoSQL databases and AWS cloud technologies.

4 years experience building collaborative relationships with business and data stakeholders.

3 years working with enterprise data warehouse solutions and platforms.

Preferred Certifications:

Informatica Cloud DQ certification (preferred)

AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (preferred)

Soft Skills:

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to data quality and integrity.

Proactive problem-solving and analytical thinking capabilities.
