Travel Consultant Job Responsibilities:

• Advises clients regarding destinations, cultures, customs, and weather
• Interacts with clients to determine travel needs, budgets and preferences.
• Coordinates transportation, accommodations, insurance, tours and activities.
• Books travel arrangements and collects applicable fees.
• Handles travel issues, conflicts, complaints, cancelations, and refunds.
• Builds and maintains relationships with travel and tour vendors.
• Attends travel seminars and conferences.
• Conducts research on destinations and industry trends.
• You must have a computer, laptop, tablet, or smart phone and reliable internet service.

Travel Consultant Qualifications/Skills:

• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent communications abilities
• Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
• Working knowledge of domestic and international travel trends

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School education
• Sales background preferred, but not required
• Hospitality background preferred, but not required
• We train you for Travel Agent Certification
• Our company supplies licensing, bonding, and E and O/Fraud insurance
