Homeless Shelter Worker

TradeStation, a leading financial services company, is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Homeless Shelter Workers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those who are experiencing homelessness and provide them with the support and resources they need to get back on their feet.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide direct assistance and support to individuals experiencing homelessness

- Conduct intake assessments to determine needs and eligibility for services

- Develop individualized case management plans and assist clients in achieving their goals

- Educate clients on available resources and services, including job training, housing assistance, and mental health support

- Collaborate with community organizations and agencies to provide comprehensive services to clients

- Maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions and progress

- Assist in the day-to-day operation of the shelter, including meal service and facility maintenance

- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation when needed

- Create a welcoming and safe environment for clients and ensure all shelter rules are followed

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred

- Prior experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness, mental illness, or substance abuse preferred

- Knowledge of and experience with case management and resource referrals

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to handle stressful and challenging situations with empathy and care

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
