About the Position:
The Moline Coal Valley School District seeks an experienced special education teacher/case manager to instruct students with disabilities and effectively oversee all aspects of their specialized educational programs.
This position will teach at our Moline Coal Valley School District working with students in the 6th to 8th grades.
The successful candidate will have a firm understanding of the special education process and the ability to provide direct instruction that is researched-based and targeted to meet the specific needs of students in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEP).
This teacher must be able to accurately assess each student's current level of performance, facilitate the development of appropriate, standards-based Individualized Education Plans, and monitor student progress toward IEP goals and benchmarks/objectives.
The ability to successfully collaborate with classroom teachers, and other members of IEP teams, and assertively problem-solve a range of educational challenges is essential.
This professional must have outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to provide leadership in relation to data-based decisions and curricular adaptations in general education settings. Qualifications: NH certification or statement of eligibility (SOE) in General Special Education (1900) is required; an endorsement in Specific Learning Disabilities and other special education endorsements are strongly preferred. Experience working with middle school students also preferred.

This is a full-time, exempt position. 186-day school year; salary and benefits in accordance with the Pelham Education Association (PEA) collective bargaining agreement.
