This position works within the Enterprise Data Center (EDC) in the Commonwealth Technology Center (CTC) in the Bureau of Compute and Messaging Services. _ _ _ This position provides support for the EDC data center infrastructure services including Windows and Linux server administration, Active Directory services, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) administration, Patch Management and systems and application monitoring.
Knowledge required for this position includes but is not limited to, experience with Microsoft Windows administration and Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).
Proven experience in troubleshooting technical issues, working in a multi-team environment along with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively over the phone with remote customers are essential for this position._ Deploys, configures, administers and upgrades EDCs Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) implementation._ Works with clients and other technical teams to define requirements for monitoring systems and applications deployed within the EDC._ Configures, maintains and documents custom monitoring solutions._ Provides customer support for troubleshooting complex IT issues within the EDC._ Administers and maintains an enterprise Active Directory environment for multiple parent and child domains._ Maintains and supports enterprise Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) services for multiple parent and child domains._ Participates in monthly patching cycle to apply patches and monitor compliance which may occur after normal business hours._ Develops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for EDC processes._ Participates in an on-call rotation schedule requiring 24x7 support every 6-8 weeks or as needed._ Demonstrates the ability to effectively use an Incident/Change management system such as Service Now._ Maintains current knowledge of enterprise policies and procedures including IT Bulletins, Management Directives, CISO security recommendations and EDC practices in order to ensure service offerings are in compliance with established policies.
