This is a technical networking position on the client Network Infrastructure team which applies strategies, policies, procedures, risk analysis, LAN/WAN design, and network configurations and methodologies to configure and implement new networking equipment, while troubleshooting and maintaining current networking equipment and infrastructure for the client, Unified Judicial System network (UJSNet) and various court agency systems throughout Pennsylvania. 

This position provides 24/7 technical support and daily operations of client's data networks and equipment.

  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting data center equipment, LAN and WAN equipment, and wireless networks; switching; routing; monitoring; troubleshooting; performance analysis; device configuration; and solution and design development.
  • The person in the position performs and assists in troubleshooting for remote court locations including configuration and administration of serial interfaces, sub-interfaces, Ethernet circuits, T1 and OC3 circuits, and DMVPN connectivity utilizing various methodologies supporting the hardware, software, and configurations.
  • Client mainly deploys and supports Cisco products however, the Network team interfaces with other agencies and County IT staff that may support a wide variety of networking equipment.
  • Three years of technical experience in network operations/maintenance; or an Associate's degree in any IT field, and one year of technical experience in network operations maintenance.
  • Cisco LAN & WAN equipment (6513, 4510, ASR 1004, ASR 1002X, 3850, 1921, Cisco ISRs, Wireless Controllers)_ Cisco Client_ Cisco Prime_ KIWI Cattools_ APC UPS_ Digi Passport & RPMs
  • Fluke Network testing equipment_ IPAM - IP Address Management
  • Knowledge of Cisco Routing & Switching and Command Line Interface (CLI)
  • Knowledge of Circuits such as OC3, Ethernet, T1, Wavelength, Broadband, and POTS lines_
  • Knowledge of Cisco Wireless Infrastructure and Access Points_ MPLS Networks.
  • Knowledge of basic protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, SNMP, HSRP, SMTP, DHCP, DNS, DMVPN. Knowledge of fiber and copper backbone and patch cables_ SDWAN or software defined networking experience is a plus.
