Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for the installation, configuration, upgrading, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and security of a database(s).
The role includes the development and design of database strategies, system monitoring and improving database performance and capacity, and planning for future expansion requirements. The DBA may also plan, co-ordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard the database(s)._ _ Provides administrative support for PeopleSoft tax updates
Provides primary PeopleSoft middle tier support to include but not limited to:
Patches, updates and fixes_ _ Installation, configuration, and support of PeopleSoft web, application, batch, and file servers_ _ LDAP integration_ _ Manages PeopleSoft security (metadata)_ _ Collaborates with corporate security and network administration teams to ensure seamless client connectivity_ _ Participates in security audits
Provides client support as needed_ _ Collaborates with server team on F5 load balancer configuration_ _ Involved with extranet, internet, and intranet activities with PeopleSoft (i.e. eRecruit)
Installs, configures and manages PeopleTools_ _ Maintains and monitors PS components such as BEA WebLogic, SSL, Tuxedo, Process Scheduler,_ _ Integration Broker and Application Messaging_ _ SMTP, FTP support when needed._ _ Design, build, implement and manage self service eModules_ _ Monitors Windows operating system within the PeopleSoft environment_ _ Utilizes tools for system monitoring_ _ Responsible for providing technical support and expertise to Application teams_ _ Provides customer consultation as needed to include, but not limited to infrastructure planning,database design, data mapping and conversion activities that meet functional and operational requirements as well as IT standards_ Working knowledge and use of RMAN for backup and recovery_ _ Basic knowledge of F5 load balancers_ _ Working knowledge of Oracle data guard._ _ Working knowledge of Oracle advanced security_ _ Working knowledge of Oracle OMS_
