Cisco Network Architect

Experience in advance Cisco network design, development and implementation. (Required 10 Years)

Experience in installing & maintaining network components for distributed enterprise networks requiring high degree of encryption and security. (Required 10 Years) 

Skilled experience at installation and maintenance of hardware AND software for computer networks (Required 10 Years).

Specialized knowledge of installation of cable, wiring and related equipment for storage, server, router, and load balancing systems (Required 10 Years)

Specialized knowledge of disaster recovery / back up network architectures (Required 10 Years)

 Must have advance network diagramming skills using a tool like Visio. (Required 10 Years)

 Specialized knowledge of virtual machines including installation and maintenance (Required 10 Years).

Specialized knowledge of server-network infrastructures (Required 10 Years)

Specialized knowledge of TCP/IP (Required 10 Years)_ Advanced experience in server-network infrastructures to support a distributed cloud environment (Required 10 Years)

Description: - State of North Carolina: Department of Employment Security (NCDES)

NC Division of Employment Security (DES) seeks to procure one contractor, a Network Architect role to install, maintain, and monitor Cisco network components to the current DES IT network that interface with Xerox data center and NC ITS Network

Currently, there are insufficient DES IT network staff members with advanced network build-out and management skills to implement new DES network components for the SCUBI system for: (1) connectivity to SCUBI data center that will be located in Dallas, Texas run by Xerox, (2) installation and maintenance of connectivity and distributed architecture components to support the security, MFT, ECM, FTI, distributed printing, distributed back and recovery, and network monitoring needs of the SCUBI cloud based architecture. 

In order to avoid falling behind with the SCUBI Project schedule dictated by the Consortium, the State of North Carolinas Division of Employment Security (DES) seeks to procure one (1) contractor to fill a Network Engineer role to install, maintain, and monitor network components to the current DES IT network that interface with the Xerox data center and the NC ITS network.

Expected Skills:- 

Ability to install and maintain network components for enterprise networks that are distributed and require a high degree of encryption and security. 

Ability to work without assistance; can provide leadership to others; ability to manage highly complex work efforts. 

This position requires an advanced degree in computer science and at least 10 years of experience in advance network development, implementation, and maintenance.
