Supporting and maintaining control and data acquisition systems for existing equipment and processes including but not limited to casting, powder making, roll milling, and furnaces
Develop and deploy new control and data acquisition systems for equipment and processes
Work closely with Engineers, Researchers, EHS, Procurement, and Project Manager
Coordinator to ensure timely response to Engineering Project and Operation Support Requests
Work with other Engineers in devising execution strategy of the project and engaging in the technical discussion
Accountable to complete operational support tasks and project work packages by committed delivery dates
Documenting and managing changes to software, electrical drawings, and process instrumentation diagrams, scope, specification, budget and schedule through formal change management plan
Electrically qualified in execution of low voltage work
Devise scope of work, drawings and or sketches to electricians and or contractors and directing safe completion of work
Support electrical variance process by reviewing electrical drawings equipment both purchased and unique R&D designs for proper electrical design including grounding, overload protection and electrical safety issues
Contribute to ATC Electrical Safety Committee to maintain policy's and standards includes working knowledge of NFPA, NEC an OSHA requirements
Participate in project team meetings and provide positive impact on project performance metrics and overall transparency of projects
Participate in reviews of electrical PEHSR pertaining to automated control systems
Provides innovative solutions_ Ability to execute tasks by splitting time in the office and in the field i.e. troubleshooting and maintaining existing processes and equipment; overseeing process modifications; equipment installations_ Working knowledge of temperature controllers, VFD's, PLC's, HMI's and data acquisition systems_ PLC programming in ladder logic and function block_ HMI programming such as FactoryTalk, or equivalent_ Primary knowledge of Rockwell Automation Logix PLC's, HMI's and VFD's_ Working knowledge of Siemens PLC derivatives
Ability to work with and devise electrical schematics and Process and Instrumentation Diagram_ Work with Design Group to maintain electrical control schematics and power_ Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments while executing simultaneously
Strong critical, conceptual, and analytical thinking skills
Strong collaboration, decision-making, computer, written and verbal communication skills_
Adept at functioning within a high performing cross functional project teams
Demonstrates a willingness to engage in technical discussion
Bachelor’s Degree in an electrical or process control curriculum
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum 5 years experience as an electrical engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Minimum 5 years PLC programming experience in ladder logic, function block and HMI programming.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
